Mrs. HILDA SHIREMAN, 68 of 696 Cleveland Ave., died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday at Mercy Hosp.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday at Behr's. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday
at St. Columbkille's Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Dunn, pastor, will offer the Requiem High Mass. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Shireman was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis at Sacred Heart Church.

She was born at Dubuque, daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline Hense Sitterly, and she
had lived in Dubuque all her life. In 1913 she was married to ALBA Shireman in Dubuque.
He died in 1934.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Delbert (VIRGINIA) Kohn, Dubuque; six sons, ALVIN R., rural Dubuque, VERNON J., LELAND S., NORMAN J., SYDNEY J., all of Dubuque and RAYMOND F., Fairplay, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Degn, Vinton, Ia., Mrs. Ernest (STELLA) Holmes of Hesperia, Calif.; three brothers, Joseph BRAKE, Dubuque, Alfred SITTERLY, Ventura, Calif., and Raymond SITTERLY, Dubuque; twenty - six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The Rosary will be recited at 8:15 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home by members of the Third
Order of St. Francis and St. Columbkille's Church.
