Barbara K. (Zenner) Meng, 52, of 912 Balmoral Place, Valrico, Fla., formerly of Dubuque, died of pancreatic cancer at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at home, surrounded by her family and friends.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Dubuque, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, where military rites will be accorded by the Dubuque Marine Corps League and the Tri-State Vietnam Veterans Association. The Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., Dubuque, is in charge of arrangements.

She worked as an invoice clerk at Wal-Mart since 1986.

She was born on Dec. 1, 1950, in Dubuque, daughter of Joseph and Lucille (Scharphoff) Zenner.

Barbara was a graduate of Wahlert High School, Dubuque, class of 1969.

She served in the Air Force from 1969-1972. Her service took her to Australia and Japan.

Barb had lived for 20 years in the Tampa, Fla., area. She was an active member and CCD teacher at Nativity Catholic Church, Brandon, Fla.

She enjoyed crafts and cross-stitch and traveling to visit friends she had made around the world.

Surviving are a son, Bryan M. (Tiffany) Meng, of Brandon; her mother, Lucille Zenner, of Dubuque; a sister, Mary (Dale) Phelps, of Dubuque; a brother, Joseph (Deb) Zenner, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Zenner, in infancy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Lifepath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, Fla. 33609.
