Judith M. LaPrell, 64, of Dubuque died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at ManorCare Health Services. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 12 at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dubuque. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Dubuque.

Judith was born January 14, 1945 in Dubuque, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Zoll) Murphy. In her early years, she operated “The Pump” tavern and later owned and operated Tri-State Credit Services.

She is survived by her husband, George LaPrell of Dubuque; her children, Michael (Renee) Sandidge of Hudson, WI and Bridget (Kurt) Christensen of Dubuque; her grandchildren, Connor, Savea, Brenna, Annika, Nyah, Morgan, August and Gabriel; and her brother, James (Sara) Murphy of Dubuque. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Judith M. LaPrell memorial fund has been established.
