BALLTOWN, Iowa - Herbert Henry Link, 69, of Franklin, Wis., formerly of Balltown, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee.

Services were held Friday at St. Martin of Tours Church, Franklin. Private burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Milwaukee. The Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, was in charge of arrangements.

He was born on March 4, 1933, in Balltown.

He was an Air Force veteran and worked as an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration for more than 30 years.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; children, Michael (Kathy), Steve (Naava) and Nan (Andrew Buermeyer); grandchildren, Trevor, Alegra and Aidan Link and Patrick, Molly and Quinn Buermeyer; brothers, Bill (Edna), Lyle (Elaine) and Leon (Kay); a sister, Grace Brimeyer; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margaret; and two brothers, Cletus and Sylvester.
