Swartzel dies at 102. Mrs. Elizabeth F. Swartzel, 102, of Bethany Home, formerly of Eden Prairie, Minn., died Sunday, January 4, 1987 at Bethany. Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Nativity Church with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
The Egelhof-Casper-Strueber Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Swartzel was born in Dubuque. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. D. Swartzel. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Gloria) Koenig of Eden Prairie; two sons, A. Dean of East Dubuque, Ill., and J. R. of Dubuque; and nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be given to Bethany home.

Submitter Notes: Better known as “Dollie”. Elizabeth Fritsche was the daughter of Fidelus and Catherine Fritsche. Elizabeth Swartzel was preceded in death by her husband, Archibald Dean Swartzel (1940), her parents, and thirteen siblings.
