Anton "Tony" Fritsche 1855 - 1935

Mr. Anton Fritsche died at the residence of Mrs. Theresa Hemmi, 2814 Burden avenue, Sunday morning at 11:40 o'clock, following a lingering illness. He was born in Austria, Sept 10, 1855, and had been a resident of Dubuque the past 48 years. He had been a carpenter by trade. He was married to Caroline Huck in Dubuque; she preceded him in death eight years ago. Mr. Fritsche was a member of St. Mary's Church, and was affliated with the Holy name Society. The body is at the Strueber funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Church. Burial will be made in Mt. Calvary.

He was married to Caroline Huck in St. Mary's church, Dubuque who preceded him in death eight years ago. He was affliated with the Holy name Society of that parish. Funeral services will be held from the Strueber funeral home to St. Mary's church Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock, with burial in Mount Calvary cemetery.

Submitter's Notes: Anton was preceded in death by his parents, and four siblings (Fidel, Joseph, Sylvester Fritsche and Philomena Fritsche Engler). Pall bearers were Francis Frick, Leo Frick, William Fritsche, Joe Hartman, Chris Koester, and Joseph Frick.
