MRS. JAMES H. (Joanne C. Brouillet) HATCHER

Joanne C. Hatcher, 84, of 3235 Lake Ridge, formerly of 2462 Cherry St., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where there will be a parish scripture wake service at 4 p.m.

Mrs. Hatcher worked in the library at Clarke College from 1968 until her retirement in 1984.

She was born on April 30, 1918, in Lansing, Iowa, daughter of Henry A. and Carolyn (Trinko) Brouillet. She married James H. Hatcher on Sept. 18, 1944, at Nativity Catholic Church; he died on March 21, 1994.

She had been a resident of Dubuque since her early childhood. She enjoyed art and music.

Surviving are her children, Virginia (Charles) King, of Basking Ridge, N.J., and James F. Hatcher, of Madison, Wis.; two grandchildren; and a brother, Daniel Brouillet, of Augusta, Mo.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Anne, on June 17, 1950; and two brothers, John and Robert.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
