WILBUR A. "Willy" OTTERBECK

PEOSTA, Iowa - Wilbur A. "Willy" Otterbeck, 53, of 14801 Highway 20 W., Peosta, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at home.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Bible Baptist Church, 940 Walker St., Dubuque. Burial will be in the Strawberry Point (Iowa) Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., Dubuque.

Mr. Otterbeck was most recently employed as a driver for the A-OK Yellow Cab Co. in Dubuque.

He was born on Nov. 15, 1949, in Charles City, son of Wilbur M. and Carol (Warner) Otterbeck. He married Judy E. Lembo on June 10, 2000, in Dubuque.

He was an active member of the Bible Baptist Church. He was a founding member of the Dubuque Chapter of Narcotics Anonymous and an avid supporter and sponsor for 20 years.

Willy enjoyed road trips and would go anywhere to help support those he sponsored and anyone else in need.

He was a very loving and caring man, a "Class A servant of Christ," and was very devoted in his spirituality.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Otterbeck; two daughters, Amy Jo (Michael Gile) Otterbeck, of Belmont, Wis., and Kizzy Dee (Robert) Allen, of Dubuque; two sons, Peter E. (Tasha McGovern) Otterbeck and Mark A. Otterbeck, both of Dubuque; four grandchildren, Adrian, Audria, Shayla and Mark Jr.; his father, Wilbur M. Otterbeck, of Forest City; his former wife, Nancy K. Otterbeck, of Dubuque; three other daughters, Tiffany Parker, of Dubuque, Melissa Parker, of New Orleans, and Jennifer Lembo, of Peosta; two other sons, Michael Lembo, of Dubuque, and Mark Lembo, of Peosta; a granddaughter, Katelyn; a sister, Deb J. (Denny) Johnson, of McGregor; and three brothers, Steve "Guy" Otterbeck, of Potosi, Wis., and Greg Otterbeck and David (Deb) Otterbeck, both of Prairie du Chien, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Otterbeck; and a sister, Melody Frommelt.

A Wilbur A. Otterbeck Memorial Fund has been established through Bible Baptist Church, 940 Walker St., Dubuque, Iowa 52001.
