Jeanette C. Nauman

Jeanette C. Nauman, 83, of Stonehill Care Center, formerly of 1515 Altura, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where a parish scripture wake service will be at 6:30 p.m.

She was born on May 2, 1925, in Dubuque, daughter of Nicholas and Christina (Schueller) Trieweiler. She married Cletus Nauman on April 3, 1951.

She was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Parish and was the school secretary for many years. She later was the secretary in the science department at Loras College.

Jeanette adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed the many shopping trips with them. She played baseball as a young girl and was an avid euchre player.

Surviving are her son, Bob (Carol) Nauman, of Dubuque; six grandchildren, Shawn Nauman-Larson (Ken), Jacob (Jacki) Nauman, Joy Nauman, Jonathan Nauman, Holly (Chet) Kelley and Sarah (David) Burris; six great-grandchildren, Guthrie, Ana, Gabriel, Andi, Bella and Elizabeth; a brother; Gerald Trieweiler; and two sisters; Ruth Nauman and Bernice Thill, all of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers, a Jeanette C. Nauman Memorial Fund has been established with funds to be distributed to Jeanette's favorite charities.
