Jeanne G. Frommelt

Jeanne G. Frommelt, 84, of Luther Manor, formerly of East Dubuque, Ill., died at 4:56 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Luther Manor, from complications of alzheimer's diaease.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Dubuque, with the Rev. Jim Parker officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery, East Dubuque. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday July 6, at Miller Funeral Home, 1185 Route 35 N., East Dubuque, where the parish rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1923, in Dubuque, daughter of Vern and Violet (Dodd) White. She married Wilfred D. "Bootzie" Frommelt on June 7, 1941, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dubuque; he preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1983.

Jeanne and Bootzie formerly operated "Bootzie's Tap" in East Dubuque. She also was a waitress at various Dubuqueland supper clubs.

She was a member of St. Mary's Parish and its Alter and Rosary Society.

Surviving are three daughters, Lynn Ann (Wayne) Stewart, of East Dubuque, Candy (Tim) Runde, of Cuba City, Wis., and Kristy Dalen, of Rochelle, Ill.; six grandchildren, Russell Stewart, Stacey Bonnet, Michael Dalen, Heather Atkins, Becky Hinderman and Heidi Runde; 11 great-grandchildren; two very special cousins, Sue Prochaska, of Dubuque, and Betty Verhorevoort, of East Dubuque; and a brother-in-law, Harland "Styx" (Arlene) Frommelt, of Peoria, Ill.

The family would like to thank Luther Manor staff, Hospice of Dubuque, especially Dawn, and to her roommate, Angie Polfer, for the care and compassion shown to Jeanne.
