DIED-

Mr. Benjamin Rupert, a Dubuque pioneer and one of the oldest Odd Fellows in the United States, died at his home in that city on Sunday last, aged 79 years. Deceased had been a resident of Dubuque since 1836. He was a charter member of the first lodge of the I. O. O. F. organized in the United States at Philadelphia, nearly 60 years ago, and organized Harmony Lodge in Dubuque in 1845, the charter having been granted in 1839.
