Jeanette A. (Hollander) Koehn
Jeanette A. (Hollander) Koehn, 79, of Raven Oaks Drive, died Monday, March 3, 2008, at Ennoble Manor.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 7, at St. Raphael Cathedral, with the Rev. Wayne Ressler officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Cemetery, Hazel Green, Wis. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Haudenshield Funeral Home, Kieler, Wis. Friends also may call after 9 a.m. Friday, March 7, at the church.
She was born on April 5, 1928, in Galena, Ill., daughter of Alois and Sarah (Walton) Hollander. She lived in the Galena and Cuba City, Wis., areas prior to moving to Dubuque,
Jeanette worked as a high school cook for the Cuba City School District. Prior to retirement, she was employed at Hillcrest Family Services in Dubuque.
She enjoyed reading, cooking, watching television and was an avid White Sox fan. Jeanette loved to play euchre and enjoyed the company of family and friends. She enjoyed time spent with her son Dennis at his Florida home.
She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church, in Hazel Green, and St. Rose Catholic Church, in Cuba City, and currently a member of St. Raphael's Cathedral, in Dubuque.
Jeanette was a kind and caring person who will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are a son, Dennis, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Doris (Merlin) Slaats, of Cuba City, and Mary (Tom) Meyers, of Spring Green, Wis.; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Connie Lyles and Cathy Koehn; two brothers, Norman and Alois; and two sisters, Irene and Naomi.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of Dubuque for the kindness and caring that they showed to Jeanette and our family.
