Dennis W. Clark II

CLINTON, Iowa -- Dennis Wesley Clark II, 59, of Clinton, formerly of Dubuque, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 3, at Catholic Church of the Visitation, Camanche, with the Rev. Richard Okumu officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 2, at Camanche Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home, Camanche where there will be a prayer service at 2 p.m.

He was born on Nov. 7, 1948, in Dubuque, son of Dennis W. and Vernoa Mae (Sass) Clark. He married Sandra Jean Goynes on June 19, 1970, in Camanche.

Dennis was a 1967 graduate of Dubuque Senior High School.

He was employed with Lyondell/Chemplex as a maintenance technician since 1968, where he served as president of the plant's Employees Recreation Building for over 25 years.

He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Visitation and the Clinton Eagles Club.

Surviving are his loving wife, Sandra, of Clinton; three daughters, Alicia Clark, Denise (Scott) Sheppard, and Elisabeth Clark, all of Clinton; three grandchildren, Robbie Sheppard, Johnathan Sheppard and Oliva May Carolyn Clark; a sister, Sandra Milroy, of Clinton; two brothers, Joseph (Becky) Clark and Richard Clark, both of Clinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, and an infant brother.
