Dustin T. Mullett

WORTHINGTON, Iowa -- Dustin T. Mullett, 36, of 303 3rd St., Worthington, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Worthington.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at Reiff Funeral Home, 490 Field of Dreams Way, Dyersville, with Deacon Frederick Pins officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Friends may call from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at the funeral home, where the Worthington Fire Department will meet in a body at 3 p.m.

Dustin owned and operated Mullett Enterprises, in Dubuque.

He was born on April 16, 1971, in Anamosa, son of Richard and Delores (Newhard) Mullett. He married Michelle Reittinger on May 27, 2000, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Anamosa.

He was a graduate of Anamosa High School. He also was a graduate of the University of Iowa, in Iowa City.

He was a member of St. Paul's Parish, in Worthington, and St. Francis Xavier, in Dyersville.

Surviving are his wife, Michelle Mullett, of Worthington; his two sons, Griffin and Spencer Mullett, both at home; his mother and stepfather, Delores (Tom) Butters, of Anamosa; his two brothers, Erron (Tammy) Mullett, of Council Bluffs, and Jason (Julie) Mullett, of Cedar Rapids; his sister, Sjonna Butters, of Cedar Rapids; his grandmother, Irene Newhard, of Cedar Rapids; his mother-in-law, Luetta Reittinger, of Worthington; his grandmother-in-law, Lucille Reittinger, of Manchester; and his two brothers-in-law, Gary (Natalie) Reittinger, of Dyersville, and Mike Reittinger, of Elgin, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Mullett; his grandparents, Hubert Newhard, and Richard and Dorothy Butters; his uncle, James Newhard; his father-in-law, David Reittinger; and his grandfather-in-law, Emil Reittinger.
