Madonna M. Kopp, 79, of 3525 Windsor Ave., died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 7:30 p.m. today at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., where friends may call from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today.

She was born on July 13, 1928, daughter of Jerome and Myrtle (Basten) Steffen. She married Eugene Kopp; he preceded her in death.

She retired from the Sisters of Mercy in Dubuque.

She loved to play cards with her friends and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children, Dan Kopp, Debra Kopp (Bill Teasdall), Patti (Donald) Singer, Pam Bennett (Terry Healey), Jeff Kopp, Steve (Jan) Kopp, and Mary Ann (Doug) Kopp; grandchildren, Brenda Kopp, Mindy Kopp, Shannon (Gavin) Gross, Sherri Healy, Tess Russell, James Singer, Michael Kopp, Kayla Kopp, Clint Ruden and Steve Ruden; great-grandchildren, Codey Kopp, Ashlyn Gross and Katelyn Gross; and a sister, Jackie Scott.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Donald "Buddy" Steffen.
