EAST DUBUQUE, Ill. -- Mrs. Ralph (Elaine T.) Digman, 80, 1164 Hiawatha Drive, East Dubuque, died at 12:52 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Church, East Dubuque, with Rev. Jim Parker officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque. Friends may call 1 to 6 p.m. today at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, where the parish rosary/scripture service will be at 5 p.m., and from 10 a.m. Monday until time of services at the church.

She was born Jan. 26, 1928, in Dubuque, the daughter of Eugene and Anna (Schilling) Frith. She married Ralph J. Digman Feb. 22, 1949, at Holy Trinity Church, Dubuque. Ralph and Elaine formerly operated the Napa Auto Parts store in Dubuque.

She was a member of St. Mary's Parish and its Altar & Rosary Society.

She is survived by Ralph J. Digman, her husband of nearly 59 years; their children, Genie (Alan) Sarkozy, of Aurora, Colo., and their daughter, Shannon; Mary (Bill) Waddle, of Norman, Okla., and their children, Rachael Yaeger, Bill Jr., Jessica and Brian; John (Cathy) Digman, of East Dubuque, and their sons, Dusty and Jacob; Jim (Becky) Digman, of Galena, and their daughter, Samantha; two brothers, Eugene (Joan) Frith, of Dubuque, and Paul (Mary) Frith, of Golden, Colo.; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Tom and Bob.

The family wishes to offer a special thank-you to Elaine's niece, Myra Frith, for all her care and loving compassion she has given our mother over the last six months. We will be forever grateful.
