Kimberly Block, 25, of Red Oak, Iowa, formerly of Dubuque, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, in Red Oak.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Mueller Chapel at Linwood Cemetery. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road.

She was born on Sept. 2, 1982, in Dubuque, daughter of Julia Block. She graduated from Hempstead High School in 2002.

She formerly worked for the University of Dubuque in the kitchen.

Surviving are her mother, Julia Block Trautwein and stepfather, Richard Trautwein, of Dubuque; maternal grandparents, Pat (Jim) Ryan, of Wausau, Wis.; uncles, Curt Block, of Dubuque, and Chuck (Rita) Block Jr., of Norman Park, Ga.; aunts, Tina (Dale) Kenniker, of Dubuque, and Jackie (Wally) Turnmeyer, of Davenport; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Charles Block Sr.; and a sister, Nicole.
