Reuben Elmer Haferbecker

Reuben Elmer Haferbecker -- of 957 Thomas Place, aged 58, died March 23, 1955 after an illness of several months. Burial was in the Linwood Cemetery.

Reuben was born August 31, 1906 at Desoto, Wisconsin, the son of August and Alice (Wyburn) Haferbecker, and has resided in Dubuque since 1909. He was a machinist at Morrison Brothers Company for 30 years.

He was associated with Jehovah Witnesses for a number of years and was a Veteran of WW I. Reuben was married to Belvidere Rhomberg. She passed away in 1920. He then married Edith C. Nash (or Nank). Reuben has 2 sons, Robert of Dubuque and Gene of Cedar Rapids; 2 daughters, Mrs. Reuben (Virginia) Noab of Dubuque and Mrs. Kenneth (Eunice) Chetwood of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Reuben has 4 brothers: Earl, Ernest, David and Harold.
