Steven D. Mulvehill

Steven D. Mulvehill, 41, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Dubuque, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Fort Lauderdale.

Services were held Dec. 22 in Fort Lauderdale. The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, Ill., provided the information.

He was born on Jan. 17, 1966, in Dubuque, son of Dennis and Patricia (Kramer) Mulvehill.

Surviving are his father, Dennis Mulvehill, of rural Hazel Green, Wis.; and a brother, Michael Mulvehill, of Fort Lauderdale.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Former Dubuquer hit, killed by train

A former Dubuque resident who was living in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., died after being hit by a train in Oakland Park, Fla.

Media reports said Steven Mulvehill, 41, was killed about 5 a.m. Dec. 16 by a 51-car freight train traveling at 43 mph.

Witnesses told police Mulvehill was sitting on the tracks watching the train approach but made no attempt to get out of the way.
