Galena Civil War Vet Dies

Galena, Ill.- Special:
Thomas E. Hodson, Galena Civil War veteran, died at his home here Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock following a lengthy illness. He was 86 years old.

He was born April 27, 1848.

He enlisted on April 10, 1864, when a youth of 16. He was a survivor of the horrors of the infamous Andersonville prison.

Hodson served two terms as state's attorney for Jo Daviess county during the administration of President Cleveland.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
