Sister of Mayor Schunk Answers The Final summons on Sunday

Mrs. Katharine Wunderlich, wife of the well known citizen, Mr. A. Wunderlich, died at the family residence, 2134 White street, Sunday afternoon, after a lingering illness extending over a period of nearly two years. She bore her suffering with Spartan courage and with a patience that was remarkable. Mrs. Wunderlich was a womanly woman who endeared herself to her family and her friends by her splendid character and goodness of heart. Always a devoted mother, a kind and loving sister and daughter, the world was better because she lived, and her death is an irreparable loss to those near and dear to her.

Mrs. Wunderlich is survived by her husband, her sons, Fred, Frank, Charles and Ewald, and one daughter, Minnie. Three daughters, Pauline, Clara and Julia, and one son, Ernest, preceded her to the eternal sleep.

Mrs. Wunderlich was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Schunk, and was born in Galena, Ill., 62 years ago, although her entire life, with the exception of a few months, was spent in Dubuque.

Mrs. Wunderlich is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Samuel Muntz, and a brother, Mayor Henry Schunk.
