Saturday Aug 11, 2007Theresa Diane Jotham, 60, of Dubuque, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at home, surrounded by family and friends.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., where there will be a wake service at 2 p.m.
Mrs. Jotham worked at The Dubuque Inn for 25 years.
She was born on Oct. 16, 1946, in Decorah, Iowa, daughter of Harold and Mary Alice (Lerdahl) Whalen.
She married Charles Dailey Sr. on Aug. 7, 1965. In 1974, she married the love of her life, William Jotham; he preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1987.
For the past eight years, Theresa battled scleroderma and the multiple complications related to the disease.
Besides her love for her children and grandbabies, Theresa loved to play euchre. For many years, she played and coordinated many euchre tournaments. Her love of travel also took her all over the world.
Surviving are her children, Charles (Lynn) Dailey and Michelle (Bill) Durr, both of Dubuque, Edward Dailey, of Chicago, and Kelli (Dan Ohlson) Jaeger, of Madison, Wis.; a brother and her pillar of strength, Lyle (Ann) Whalen; a sister, her best friend and world-wide travel companion, Colleen (Mel) Whalen-Kreassig; her grandchildren, Nicole, Zachary and Daniel Durr, Carrie Lloyd, Johnathan, Samantha, Jacob and Chaz Jaeger and Brandon Dailey.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be given to the Theresa Jotham Memorial.

The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Sullivan and his nursing staff, Dr. Mark Niemer, Dr. Robert Kelsey, of Medical Associates, and Dr. Alexander Musat, of University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison for their years of dedicated care. They also would like to thank the nursing staff and Ambulatory Care and Hospice Care.
Theresa will be greatly missed by all who came in contact with her but has left all of us with many memories of her charm, wit and strength. We will love you forever, Mom.
