Mathilda Elizabeth Theisen

Funeral services for Mathilda Elizabeth Theisen, 83, were held Tuesday, April 21, 1992, at St. mark's Catholic church, Edgewood. Rev. John J. Friederick officiated the service with burial in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Merlin Pins, Dan Westemeier, Ken Wilgenbusch, Jim Lo??ke, Merlin Schwers and Jim Theisen.

Mathilda was born at Holy Cross, July 3, 1908. She was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Berg) Foxen. She was united in marriage to Francis J. Theisen, February 4, 1930, at Holy Cross.

Survivors include two sons, Francis Theisen, Jr. of Edgewood, Richard Theisen of Idaho Falls, Idaho; four daughters, Ann Theisen of Edgewood, Mrs. Gerald (Dorothy) Strang of Cascade, Mrs. Gary (Jeane) Turner of Marion, and Mrs. John (LuAnn) Wessel of Colesburg; a step-son Milo Theisen of Dubuque; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother Peter Foxen of Dyersville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, November 19, 1988; a son Donald in 1982; a granddaughter, Mary Catherine Strang; three sisters; and two brothers.
