Obit., D. H., 8/16/1892

Mathias Flick died Sunday night at the family residence on Seminary hill. Ten days ago he stepped on a rusty nail and last Friday lockjaw set in, being attended with violent spasms. These ceased, however, and death resulted from exhaustion.

The deceased was 67 years old and was a resident of this city for many years, being engaged in the contracting and building business. Many of the most substantial structures in the city were erected by him. One of his notable jobs is the substantial carpentry work in the Herald building. Mr. Flick's strict integrity was one of the striking characteristics of the man, and his many other good qualities are attested by all who had his acquaintance.

The family consists of the widow, two sons, Moritz and Rudolph, who have succeeded to the father's business in this city and another son, Albert T., traveling salesman for a Chicago hardware house, with headquarters in Dallas, Tex.

The funeral will be held this afternoon.
