GILBERT J. SAHM

RICKARDSVILLE -- Gilbert J. Sahm, 46, farmer of near Rickardsville, died at 3 p.m. Friday at Xavier Hospital after a 10 day illness.

Friends may call at the Behr Funeral Home from where services will be held Monday morning to St. Joseph Church. Requiem Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Sahm was born Feb. 8, 1910, at Rickardsville, son of John and Lena Ernzen Sahm. On March 29, 1932, he married Marcella Schmitt at Rickardsville. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church and of the Holy Name Society. He resided in the Rickardsville vicinity all his life.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Laverne (Dorothy) Langel, Luxemburg; a son, William, at home; his parents, of Rickardsville; two sisters, Mrs. Peter (Marcella) Gasper, Dubuque, and Mrs. Leonard (Margaret) Cruse, Hazel Green, Wis., and two brothers, Joseph Sahm, Balltown, and Lester Sahm, Dubuque.
