Dubuque, IowaJohn J. Butlett, 64, 523 Rhomberg Ave., died at St. Joseph's Hopsital at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, after being seriously ill for three weeks.
Friends may call at the Behr Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Thursday. Services will be from the funeral home to Sacred Heart Church at 10:15 a.m. Saturday with burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Born March 11, 1889 at Sherrill, sone of the late Joseph and Theresa Engelburt (sic) Butlett, he came to Dubuque as a child and lived ehre since. He was a route man for the Meadow Gold Dairy for many years.
Mr. Butlett was a member of Sacred Heart Church, of the Holy Name Society of the church, of United Commercial Travelers and Truckdrivers Union, Local No. 421. Hw was married to Katherine Lucy at Galena, Ill.
Surviving are his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Flceckenstein and Mrs. Regina Nicks, both of Dubuque; two brothers, Lawrence Butlett, Dubuque, and Anthony Butlett, Aurora, Ill., and nieces and nephews. He was preceded by three sisters, Mrs. John (Theresa) Tigges, Mrs. Robert (Creszentia) Jotham and Mrs. Peter Botzet, adn a brother, George Butlett.

Joseph Butlett is also called Joseph Burlet. All his sons were called Butlett.
