MRS. EDWARD LEE IN ETERNAL SLEEP

DEATH COME TO AGED WOMAN AT EARLY HOUR THURSDAY MORNING

Mrs. Mary Lee, widow of the late Edward Lee, passed away Thursday morning at five minutes before three o’clock at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Grue, 947 Southern avenue. Mrs Lee had been ailing for the past several months, and her death resulted from a general decline due to her advanced age.

The deceased was born in Kings county, Ireland, 77 years ago, and came to this country when a young woman. She has been a resident of this city for many years. She was a devout member of the Catholic church during her lifetime, and died with all the consolations of her religion.

Mrs. Lee leaves to mourn her death, four daughters, Mrs. Nell Mills, Mrs. Ed Grue, Mrs. David Harker, Emma of this city, and five sons, Tom, Ed, Charles, of this city, James of Hudson, Wis., and Frank of Minneapolis. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Marguerite Carrigan of Fransconda, Manitoba. Mrs. Frank Van Wie, a daughter of Mrs. Lee’s pereceded (sic) her in death two years ago.

The funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Note: Edward Lee’s 1912 obituary and Mary Page Lee’s 1914 obituary each describes the other as being widowed.
