On the Central's train from the east last evening a little boy, about 8 years of age, was a passenger. Accompanying the boy was a letter addressed to the conductors of trains, stating that the boy was from Hayes City, Kas., and was on his way to Dubuque in search of relatives by the name of Holcomb.
The letter further stated that the boy's parents were dead and that he had relatives in Dubuque. The boy is a bright little fellow, and has made the journey from Hayes City alone. Nobody was at the train to receive him.
Mr. John Buckley, the bighearted baggage agent, took the boy to Dennis Smith's hotel, near the depot, where he is being kindly cared for. His relatives will do him a kindness by calling for him as soon as possible.
