GREENWOOD’S CONDITION

Dr. Staple’s went out to Farley yesterday morning to examine the wound of Greenwood, shot by Bell on Wednesday night. The chances seem to be against Greenwoods recovery. “On Wheels,” of the Davenport Gazette, who seems to have been sat Farley. Says the real cause of the difficulty was over a jealously on the part of the former regarding a young lady named Ida Scott, the daughter of the landlord of the Union House. Bell was much enamored with Miss Scott, and surmised that Greenwood sought her attentions to a greater extent than was proper under the circumstances.
