Dr. E. A. Guilbert, P. G. M. of Masons in Iowa, one of the most earnest and laborious fraters for the dissemination of Masonic literature in the United States, has presented us with a work of more than ordinary merit, entitled “The Token; a Gift Book”; handsomely embellished, printed on clear white paper and bound in Turkey morocco. – Among its contents we only mention the following: The Solider Mason; The Indian Mason; The Holy Place or Sanctuary of the Temple; December Duties; Egypt; The Mother of Arts and Sciences; Arts of Heaven; The Chamber of Death; King Solomon’s Temple; Washington and Lafayette; Freemasonry and the Church; Political Influence of Freemasonry and the Church; Letter From George Washington; Masonic Charity to Females; Benjamin Franklin, etc., etc. We thank the Doctor for his kind remembrance of us in making us the recipient of such a valuable Token.
