Cascade Pioneer, Published in Cascade, Iowa on Friday, August 2nd, 1895

Wonder if the genus homo referred to by the Maquoketa Excelsior, is our John, to-wit: “John Collingsworth, a Bellevue product, was found lying prostrate on the sidewalk Saturday suffering from whiskey-stroke. Tender hands assisted him to resume a wiggly perpendicular and to line him up in front of Mayor Stephens, who allowed him five minutes in which to make an exit from the city. John made a crooked track in the direction of the Mississippi River.”
