Mr. Dennis Hanson was born at Williamsburg, Iowa on November 29, 1882, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hanson. He received his high school education in the public schools in Williamsburg and completed his schooling in pharmacy at Highland Park College, Des Moines, in June 1909.

He was united to marriage to Ann Flannigan at St. Patrick’s Church in Iowa City the same year. They had no children.

In 1916, he purchased the drug store in Farley which business he operated until he sold out to Clell Stoughton in 1940.

Mr. Hanson was on the town council, a member of the fire department and a K. of C. member, a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the Holy Name Society. He died in 1948 at age 66. He operated a drug store here for 24 years.
