Julius White was born in Worthington the son of William and Mary Schnier White. He attended school in Worthington and later the Brother’s School in Dyersville. In 1914, Julius purchased the Barney Keuter farm one mile east of Farley. On Feb. 10, 1915, Julius married Genevieve Mae Bell, who was born in Dyersville. The Whites farmed until their retirement in 1956 when they moved into town at 203 First Ave. N. E.
Julius served on the Farley Creamery Board, was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus and was Deputy Grand Knight of the K of C’s. They had five children; Mary Palmer, Catherine Their, Alice Holzer, Kenneth, and Donna Mae McBride.
