According to The 'History of Farley' book, the land has been cultivated for many years
and no evidence of a cemetery is visible today.

David Hogan (a native of Virginia), his wife Mary and their 4 children children (James, Phillip, Willis and a daughter whose name is unknown)
were the first settlers in the area. They moved from Wisconsin to Dubuque County in 1834.

Notes: - 1834 to 1837 they lived in Durango - 1837 they moved to Taylor twp (section 8) - David Hogan took his own life on Feb 5, 1841 (found suspended in his barn) - The Hogan farm later became a stagecoach stop - Phillip Hogan died in 1850 in Cold Springs, CA (James was with him at the time) - Nobody knows where James was buried - Mary Hogan died on April 21, 1887 and the age of 92. She was born in 1795.
