Michael Duggan was placed under $1,000 bond for committing a nameless outrage upon the person of a demented crippled girl, the daughter of Patrick Ahern, who resides about three miles west of the city. The offense was committed on Monday last during the temporary absence of the parents. Duggan had been in the employ of Ahern for some weeks, and coming into the house on the day mentioned he found the helpless girl alone. At first he attempted to coax her to submit to his embraces, but she resisted, then he threw her down upon the floor and accomplished his purpose. The villain is now in jail and will be dealt with as his crime deserves.
