Charles Platt-farmer and wagon maker, Sec. 25; P. O. Cottage Hill; born Oct. 22, 1835, in Ohio; in 1852, came to Wisconsin; in 1855, he came to Dubuque Co., where he has since lived; he also owns 138 acres of land, also his wagon and blacksmith shops; he and his brother have been engaged in this business since 1856. Married Miss Adaline Stuart in September, 1858; she was born in Iowa; had seven children, six living-Bryon, John, Wilbur, Berthie, Hervey and Mabel, lost Nellie infancy. Catholic.
