A very elegant dinner party of twenty plates were given last evening by Mrs. C. T. Hancock in honor of Miss Jane Young, of Clinton, daughter of Mr. W. J. Young. The appointments were all the best, and made the affair one of the choice events of the season. Among the guests were Miss Enz, the Misses Staples, Miss Hervey, Miss Hinds, Miss Treadway, Mr. Monroe Amsden, Mr. B. B. Hervey, Mr. Glenn Brown, Mr. E. Stephen Noyes, Mr. J. W. Coates, and Mr. J. C.
