Thieves Never Miss an Opportunity

The daring and ubiquity of the thieves who infest the city was strongly illustrated the other night when Mr. Wm. M. Clewell left a valise, filled with his wife’s and children’s apparel, at the front door while he went into the house. Returning in a few minutes, the valise was gone. Moral: Don’t leave your valise on your front door porches.
