HUNTING A MISSING MAN
~
Farmers of Ballyclough Turn Out
to Look for Dennis Sheean, Unheard
of Since Saturday
~
Dennis Sheean, 26 years old, has been missing since last Saturday from the farm of Dennis Ryan near Ballyclough where he has been employed. Saturday he went out to set fire to some brush. The fire burned over several acres more than was intended and it was at first feared he had been burned in attempting to check the flames. A search of the field, however, revealed no trace of him. A large number of rattlesnakes were found burned. It was then surmised that he had been bitten by one of the poisonous reptiles and wandered off possibly in search of assistance and died. In any event the entire township is aroused over his disappearance and yesterday about seventy-five farmers engaged in a thorough search of the surrounding country, but without any success. The aged mother of the missing man resides with two other sons on the Healey farm near Ballyclough, which they rent. She is frantic over his disappearance.
