THE SCAFFOLD COLLAPSED
~
Farley, Nov. 6 – SPECIAL: This afternoon five men fell from the scaffolding at the Loomis Block. The men were near the top of the building putting some rock arching over a window, when the scaffolding gave way precipitating them to the ground – fatally injuring Mr. Ehler of Manchester, also hurting his brother very badly, and George Loomis very badly, also his brother W. W. Loomis. It is a wonder they were not all killed outright, for the platform was well loaded with brick and rock. N. J. Loomis was also hurt but not seriously.
