Statement Made That Architect is
Preparing Plans for Improvement

It is very probable that the steeple of St. John’s Episcopal Church will be erected this summer. It is stated that architect Spencer is preparing plans for the steeple and that the work will be begun when they are completed.

Inquiry was made of Rector F. W. Keator regarding that rumor but he denied that the church officials contemplated any improvement in that direction. Several of the vestrymen were also asked about the matter also denied the correctness of the report. Architect Spencer makes it a rule never to give reporters any news “until it is ripe,” and hence would neither deny nor affirm the rumor.
