A NEW YEAR’S WEDDING – A very pleasant marriage ceremony was witnessed by a few invited guests at the home of J. H. Evans at half past five o’clock on New Year’s afternoon. The bride was Miss Augusta R. Haskins, a sister of Mrs. Evans, and the bridegroom Mr. N. W. Smith, of Des Moines. Rev. L. A. Ostrander performed the ceremony. A sumptuous repast and the heart congratulations of friends united in making the wedding a very happy occasion. The bride goes to her new home in Des Moines followed by the best wishes of many friends. May the New Year thus suspiciously begun indeed a happy year to Mr. and Mrs. Smith – each day being as full of happiness as the first.
