DEMOKRAT – Yesterday the National Demokrat (German,) entered upon the fifth year of its existence, four of which have been under the charge of its present editor Hon. Frederick A. Gniffke. The Demokrat is by far the best German Democratic paper in Iowa, and takes precedence over all its German contemporaries for its editorial ability and general character as a newspaper. We wish dozen more years of life and prosperity.
