Grand Picnic – Large preparations are made for a large picnic at Holy Cross in Concord Township on the 15th inst., in which the inhabitants of that vicinity, of the French Settlement, of New Wine, Wapsie, and of Colesburg will participate. Services will be held at the church at 9 o’clock in the morning, after which a procession will be formed that will march to the grove when a first class dinner will be served at 12 o’clock. There will be music, dancing and everything to make the occasion pleasant, and all are invited.
