Dubuque Democratic Herald – May 6, 1865

RAILROAD ITEMS – The Engine Edward Stimson, which was thrown from the track last week by a bull, was brought in the other day for repairs. She is damaged to the extent of several thousand dollars and look as if she has been in a mud puddle; however, Place will bring here around in time.
The Railroad Company has received from Batavia, Ill., a large windmill, 28 feet in diameter, which is to be used for pumping water for Independence, and the one there taken farther west.
