Dubuque Democratic Herald – Feb. 7, 1865

A DOUBLE HEADED DOG – Learning that a double headed dog was to be seen at Edgerton’s Bakery, we wended are way thither to get a glimpse of the animal, and came away perfectly astonished at the freak that nature often plays. The animal is well formed, healthy, and good vise, and bids fair to live for years. The heads are perfect in their formation and are joined together at the neck. Mr. Edgerton will be glad to show the animal to the public.
