Baseball
~
Since his arrival in this city Mr. T. P. Sullivan, manager of the Kansas City Baseball Club, has been repeatedly asked by lovers of the game in this city to bring his team here next season. He has finally consented and will be here early next summer. Votaries of the national game will then, no doubt, enjoy a splendid exhibition, and will turn out in large numbers. Ted’s nine includes such players as Daily, the one armed, Shaw, late of the Boston’s, for pitchers; Decker, Cree and Ringo, for catchers; Sweeney, O’Brien and Whitehead, basemen; Philips, short-stop; Burch, Block and Seery, fielders. Mr. Sullivan remains here about a week longer and then, in company with Tom Loftus, goes to Milwaukee to attend the Union Association meeting to be held there.
