A Sad Accident
~
Mr. Edward Gross, employed by Mr. Trapp, in gathering ice at Eagle Point, met with a sad accident yesterday morning. He was engaged in securing the congealed cakes of protoxyde of hydrogen as the ascended the runway to the ice house, when one of them broke away from its fastenings, and collided with Mr. Gross, tore his limbs in a horrible manner. Mr. Fengler telephoned for Dr. Lesser who attended the summons and the patient, placing them in a comfortable position. The unfortunate man resides on Division Street.
