A Broken Leg
~
Misfortune never comes singly to persons or families. Mrs. Dr. Carl Misling stepped out of her front door yesterday morning to adjust a shutter, when she slipped upon an icy brick walk just inside the door yard, breaking her leg just above the ankle. The accident happened at 8:30 o’clock a.m. at which time George Henlon and George Perry were passing, they ran to the woman’s assistance and helped her into the house, subsequently summoning a physician. The family is to be pitted. The head of the house is in an insane asylum wasting away, a wreak of his former self, and now his wife is laid up with a broken limb that will require months to heal.
