GOLDEN WEDDING
New Vienna, Ia., Feb. 16, - SPECIAL: Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hoefer observed their golden wedding anniversary today. They were married 50 years ago in St. Boniface Church here. A celebration of the event will be held later.

Mrs. Hoefer was formerly Miss Sophie Kokenge, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kokenge and was born in Dubuque County. Mr. Hoefer is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Hoefer and was also born in this county. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Hoefer resided on a farm east of here where they lived until three years ago when they retired from the farm and settled in New Vienna.

The children are: Mrs. Henry T. Schaetzle and Mrs. Josephine Meis, New Vienna; Mrs. Frank Neuhaus, Earlville; Mrs. Emil Schuster, Worthington; Chris Hoefer, Farley; Raymond, Earlville; Albin, Dyersville and Arthur and Leonard, New Vienna. There are 26 grandchildren.
